What are the best brunch dishes here?

The pancakes are a must and the breakfast sandwich is everything.

When is the earlist time normally people go in and put name down on a list on weekend mornings?

I was there 15 min after opening on Saturday

What’s the best time (shortest wait) to go for breakfast or brunch on a weekday? Before/after 9? Thanks!!

I'd say before 9, but cutting it close to 9 or even little after 9 won't be of too mucb wait. I went on Saturday at around 10AM and waited for 20 min.

Does the menu change seasonally?

I do not think so but you can check on their website: https://www.eatatplow.com/menus

what is the wait time around 9:45 on a wednesday?

I went on a Tuesday around the same time was maybe, honestly 20 minute wait.

Whats the average wait time around 11-11:30am on a Saturday?

An hour and a half, but you can put your name down and come back later, just be sure to be back by the time your name is called. Unlike a lot of places I'd say that the estimated wait time they give you is fairly accurate.

Where can one get biscuits and gravy in SF

Rusty's southern, brenda's, and pork store all have the classic rendition of biscuits and gravy. Buttermilk southern kitchen has them as well

There are a lot of brunch places in SF that are great. Plow is still the best in my mind. Yes the wait can be insanely long (2hrs?), but the food is truly delicious and unique. The crispy potatoes and the lemon ricotta pancakes here are still the best that I've ever had. The crab dishes are amazing even for the price. I'd come here all the time, even knowing how long I have to wait in line.

Great food; excellent service! A bit pricey but not unusually so. If it's sunny, definitely sit outside.

The best breakfast I've ever eat anywhere in the world, literally anywhere in the world. We do extensive traveling and this stop was one of the biggest hits. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals. I had the Plow, the eggs, bacon, lemon ricotta pancakes and they're amazing potatoes. Big hit! We sat at the bar and got to watch them cook up a storm. It is like a delicate dance back there. It is orchestrated so perfectly and the meal was simply amazing! I wish we lived in San Francisco so we could go all the time.

This is one of the best brunch spots in SF. I would say its definitely my top 3. I usually get the plow with scrambled eggs, lemon ricotta pancakes, and homemade sausage patty. Compared to other brunch spots, I feel like Plow has the freshest ingredients that has a unique taste. They change the menu time to time adding seasonal items occasionally, which is always appreciated. This place is definitely worth checking out and going to if you're in SF. There's always a wait, but if you go on a weekday the wait should be pretty short. I don't believe in waiting over an hour for anything.

Got up early and had the hubris to think that if we got there before 9, there wouldn't be a line. Nope, not even close, still had to wait 30 minutes. Is it worth it? Yep. Tips - it can be a cold, windy hill so grab a cup of coffee from the thermos just inside the door and then wait across the street, in the sun, on the steps for your table. While waiting, talk to others who are also waiting about life and politics, the time will fly by. All of the food is excellent - best breakfast potatoes in The City for sure. Excellent Eggs Benedict and the lemon ricotta pancakes are a don't miss. Sit at the counter and watch the balletic performance of the Line and marvel at their rhythm and the constant stream of perfect plates they turn out. A skill set that few of us enjoy.

One of the best breakfast/brunch spots in SF. Be prepared to wait if you go on the weekend. I went at 7:30a on a Tuesday and sat immediately at the counter where I had a great view of the open kitchen. Coffee was poured the second I sat and I left with a full belly and a smile 😋

Plan to wait because this place is popular and busy. But it is so worth it! Everything we ordered was tasty and well prepared.Ok, except my "over medium" eggs which came over easy. I've pretty much given up on ANY restaurant understanding there's a difference.

Good Breakfast, was craving Chicken Fried Steak. They do make from scratch. Good Orange Juice as well. Beer on tap, not for me today but perhaps in the future. Will be back when in the area again to try Biscuits.. sketchy area, just hurry inside.

Small restaurant and very busy. There were 4 groups ahead of us and we waited about 15 minutes. Well worth the wait. Staff is very friendly. Service is fairly quick. I ordered the small portion of custard French toast and it was more than enough food and very delicious. They have seating inside and outside. We found plenty of parking on side streets. The only thing we didn’t like was the coffee. Too strong like Starbucks (too strong for us anyway)

I freaking LOVED my experience at Plow. So much that I went twice in the same week. The lemon-ricotta pancakes are probably the best pancakes I had in my entire life. The potatoes are to die for. I sat at the counter my first time there and I loved seing the cooks in the kitchen doing their thing with so much fun and skills. Staff is super nice and prices are legit. 10/10 would recommend and go again

Good pancakes but I don’t really get the hype. It’s serves dishes similar to those at any American diner. Good quality of food but I wouldn’t wait in line long for this place.

Oh. My. Goodness. I had the Salmon Benedict, but everything I saw fly by looked AWESOME! I may very well go back tomorrow! The Plow meal was recommended by a couple folks I asked. The weekend wait to be seated can be very lengthy, I was told.YUM!

I had the plow breakfast plate and it was delicious! Everything was good but I really liked the eggs and potatoes, cooked perfect, I mean perfect! The bacon was tasty but could have been lil crisper. The breakfast sandwich was also good! I would definitely recommend here and I would come back when in San Francisco.

This weekend brunch spot is on all the reputable best brunch list and it’s likely because of the lemon ricotta pancakes. These fluffy creations have a nice balance of lemon flavour and pancake sweetness. If pancakes aren’t what you desire try one of the egg dishes or sandwich. Be prepared for the long wait on weekends (upwards 1 hour+)

The best potatoes you’ll ever eat, no joke. Small space but worth the wait. Everything is fresh and made perfectly. A bit pricey but that’s SF for you.

We went there Saturday morning 20 minutes before 8am open. There was already a libe. We reached the door at 8:08am. The place was full. Annie, the hostess, advised us to return in 45 minutes for an open table. We returned at 8:40. She was seating 2 tops. We let her know we were back. We had put our names in at 8:08. A party of 5. At 9:15, she was seating parties of 2 &3 and even a 4 top. We asked her what was the problem. She apologized over & over again, ad nauseam. They just don't have room for the 5 of us. Somehow, I feel that she was relieved, not sorry. We won't be back. Clearly, they don't need our business.

Delicious and fun atmosphere. I went on a weekday and didn’t have any wait at all. The lemon ricotta pancakes are a must-have. Be careful on weekends though - lines have been 2 hours long for me before!
